Bro and I watch football together

This morning my brother Bill and I watched Cal beat Minnesota on TV. Bill had a little something to eat. I settled for my fingers. And my toy football. These things taste good, though the colors are a little strange. Later I learned how to sprawl in the corner of the couch, stretch my legs out, and look cool.

Flashback

This is me when I was one or two days old. My head fit in my mom's hand. I can't believe how much I have grown. No wonder I have been so hungry and tired for the past five months.

I love to Swing (sort of)

This is my mom and me during my very first swing ride. The swing set was on muscle beach in LA. Pretty cool, huh? Sort of. I have since learned to like swinging a bit more. The baby swings at Dracena Park in Piedmont are my current favorite.

Bill plays football

My brother is cool. He plays freshman football. He's number 36. Here is a picture of me at one of his games. And a picture of him, too, at one of his games.

Rice Cereal, Folks!

Finally, at long last, my parents got me a highchair, and I got to eat something besides breast milk. Rice cereal is not the tastiest solid food, I have a feeling, but I am still grateful to have something new in my diet. And on my face.

Just a cute picture of me. That's all.

Mom comes home for lunch!

I miss my mom when she goes to work so she comes home for lunch and we take pictures and have fun reading books and playing with toys. Here is one of the pictures we took this week:

BART

Mom and dad took me to the Contemporary Jewish Museum on Saturday. It was my first visit to a museum and my first trip on public transportation. BART. Honestly, I didn't like it all that much (BART, that is). My ears hurt going under the tunnel, and I cried a lot. The museum was fun - sort of. I slept through 90% of the visit, a feat I hope to repeat on many future museum trips.

Los Angeles, Baby

Mom and Dad and Bill took me to Santa Monica/LA for our first family vacation. We visited with some friends (thanks Aunt Steph and Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Michelle!!), checked out the scene, and hit the beach. I loved it! Here I am on the sand, on the hotel bed, and on dad watching tv for the first time (Curious George. I was mesmerized, immediately).

I love my toys

Ok, you caught me. I also love to suck my thumb.

Mom goes back to Work

Sorry for mom but bonus for me: Grandma came from NJ to babysit! Thank you, my sweet grandma. You did a fabulous job, and I can't wait for you to visit again soon.

Mom!

Here I am atop some hill in Tilden Park. Isn't my mom gorgeous?

Morning Meditation with Dad

Om. Baby. When do we eat?

Crissy Field

I like to get outdoors now and then. Here is a typical cliche tourist shot of me, my ride, and some geezer. And here is what I think about the whole tawdry exercise.

Father's Day with my favorite peeps and my favorite team

My first Father's Day my mom took my Dad, bro and me to see the Giants. Awesome seats. Mom thinks I like the Mets but you must be kidding. I bleed orange and black, baby. Well, really blue and gold, but that's another story for another season.

My brother is smart!

I was still workin' on holding my head up, while my brother was graduating from 8th grade at Dorris Eaton. Honor roll every quarter. Congratulations, Bill!

Friends Galore

During my trip to NJ, grandma had a big party and introduced me to a lot of new friends, including Marilyn and Dean. Yay. I love you, grandma!

My trip to NJ to Meet Grandpa and Grandma Mary

My first plane ride was to NJ to meet grandpa and grandma Mary. A grandpa and another amazing grandma? Lucky!

I love you, grandpa and grandma Mary! Thanks for a wonderful visit.

**ps: my dad doesn't know yet but, yes, I'm a Mets fan!

A crib? What for?

My parents and I disagreed about where I should sleep when we first got home. I won.

Passover Baby

I was born just a few days before Passover. I celebrated with my favorite Great Auntie Barbara (also known as, "AB") and, of course, my grandma.

The coolest thing: Bill

Seriously? It turns out I have a brother, too. Bill. COOL!

Grandma!

Even better than meeting my parents was meeting my grandma! (very blurry photo taken courtesy of mom on c-section pain meds).

Sleep!

I spent my first couple of months sleeping fourteen hours a day in one-hour blocks. It was heaven. And, oh yeah, meeting my mom and dad for the first time wasn't so bad, either!

Welcome to my Blog

The day of my birth! April 1, 2009 -- a bit exhausting, but at least I got a cool name.
